Experts Discuss Cases to Watch as Supreme Court Begins New Term

Morrison & Foerster partner Deanne Maynard was featured in a D.C. Bar article that covered its recent CLE program “Supreme Court Review and Preview 2019.”

Deanne was part of a panel that looked at the most significant decisions that came out of the Supreme Court in the previous term, including the Rucho v. Common Cause decision on partisan gerrymandering. On the issue of gerrymandering, Deanne highlighted state efforts to reduce political bias, including setting up independent commissions to draw district lines.

The panel also explored the key issues and cases to watch during the new Supreme Court session, which began on October 7.
