John Carlin, chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Global Risk + Crisis Management practice and Co-Chair of its National Security practice, was named to the Center for Strategic International Studies’ (CSIS) Technology and Intelligence Task Force.
The team will work to “explore the implications and applications of emerging and advanced technologies such as AI/ML, cloud, and big data analytics on how the IC operates, from collection to analysis to delivery of products to decision makers” and will “tackle these issues in a series of workshops hosted at CSIS, culminating with a final report with actionable recommendations in early 2021.”
John will be joined by experts and leaders in the tech, defense, intelligence, policy, and research communities, and will contribute his extensive experience at the DOJ, as well as his expertise on how these technologies pertain to cybersecurity.
