As Trade Shows Are Canceled, Defense Companies Go Virtual

Alex Ward spoke to Politico Pro about how many defense companies are using virtual events to show their wares, raising questions as to whether industry expos will return to full strength after the health crisis subsides.

According to Alex, trade shows provide an opportunity that can’t be replaced virtually, especially for customers looking to make big-ticket purchases who may be more comfortable seeing the product in person first.

“It’s very hard to do the kinds of things that happen at trade shows remotely,” he said. “I just am not confident that if you are in the market for a fighter or a tracked vehicle or something like that, that you’re going to be willing to make that major decision and major investment sight unseen.”
