In a Pandemic Year, Law Firms Give Back Even More

Suz Mac Cormac spoke to ABA Law Practice Today about the California Small Enterprise (CASE) Task Force, a public-private partnership of professionals from various California-based entities that produces regularly updated guides on COVID-19 resources and offers weekly live support. The task force, which was co-founded by Morrison & Foerster, formed a $1 billion investment fund to support California’s smallest businesses so they can adapt, reopen, and recover from the effects of COVID-19.

“It is important to help small businesses in our most under-resourced communities that have been hardest hit by the pandemic and make up an essential part of California’s economy,” said Suz, who leads the MoFo pro bono team advising the fund and the firm’s effort with the CASE Task Force. “Small businesses can lead the recovery from this pandemic but not without a concerted effort to reach and support them.”
