Morrison & Foerster National Security Lawyers Receive Series of Industry Recognitions

14 Jun 2021

Morrison & Foerster’s National Security practice received several rankings recently by both Chambers & Partners USA and Legal 500 US ranked the practice in its CFIUS Experts category, and individually ranked partner and co-chair Nicholas Spiliotes and partner Charles Capito. Chambers also ranked partner and co-chair John Smith in its Export Controls & Economic Sanctions category. Legal 500 US ranked the National Security practice in its International Trade category, and specifically recommended both John Smith and Nicholas Spiliotes.

Such recognition further cements the firm’s position as a market leader in the area of sanctions, export controls, and CFIUS. The practice’s clients agree, telling both publications:

“The MoFo team brings a great combination of strong expertise while being great to work with. They have broad experience in national security matters that makes them a good partner.”

“Mofo’s sanctions team has superb knowledge and experience in the field. The team gives risk-based and pragmatic advice which is directly applicable to its clients’ businesses.”

“Extensive understanding of CFIUS and national security matters and a high number of matters before the CFIUS. Extremely knowledgeable about national security matters. Terrific judgment.”

A full breakdown of these rankings can be found on the Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 websites.
