Morrison & Foerster Ranked Highly in ALB's Top 50 Largest Law Firms 2021

24 Nov 2021

Morrison & Foerster is delighted to be designated, once again, as one of the top 10 international law firms in Asia by Asian Legal Business (ALB). MoFo’s Tokyo office has again been ranked within the top two international law firms in that jurisdiction.

ALB’s list ranks the top largest international law firms in Asia by headcount. Due to the ongoing expansion of our team and services across the region, our overall ranking has increased two places, from seventh to ninth, since last year. During 2020, the firm has brought in several senior lateral hires into the Asia offices and has continued to grow our well-established Corporate, Finance, Litigation, Compliance, and Technology practices.

This recognition comes following the firm’s Japan office being named Japan International Law Adviser of the Year at the Chambers Asia-Pacific 2021 Awards. Also in China, we have been nominated for more than 20 individual and firm awards throughout 2021. The ALB ranking also comes at the same time Morrison & Foerster’s Singapore office has been named Law Firm of the Year, Singapore, by Legal 500.

With nearly 40 years in greater China and 35 years in Japan, Morrison & Foerster has built an exceptionally strong Asia platform and has an expansive reach of 200 attorneys in five offices in key Asian business centers, including Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
