Morrison Foerster has been shortlisted and named a finalist by Chambers USA for Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year in its 2023 Chambers USA Awards.
The Chambers USA Awards reflect a firm’s achievements over the past 12 months including: outstanding work, impressive strategic growth, and excellence in client service. Labeling MoFo “a powerful patent practice” with a “fine reputation for its strengths in high-stakes litigation and well supported by a deep bench of seasoned trial lawyers,” Chambers also cited client references that highlight “the team’s completeness of thought and analysis” which “gives comfort that all the issues are well analyzed before choosing a strategy or direction.” The recognition follows the arrival of premier litigation boutique Durie Tangri in January 2023, the firm’s expansion into Texas in March 2022, and the extensive recognition for MoFo’s IP powerhouse in last year’s edition.
In addition to highlighting the practice, Chambers has also ranked lawyers from the group, including IP Litigation partners Daralyn J. Durie, Aaron G. Fountain, Joseph C. Gratz, Richard S.J. Hung, Michael A. Jacobs, Deanne E. Maynard, Brian Nash, Bita Rahebi, Ragesh K. Tangri, and Senior Partner G. Brian Busey, in addition to Patent partners Catherine M. Polizzi, Michael R. Ward, and Janet Xiao. Vivian L. Hanson, Aaron P. Rubin, Anthony M. Ramirez, Tessa Schwartz, William Schwartz and Stephanie L. Sharron were highlighted from MoFo’s technology transactions group.
Winners will be named at the awards ceremony that will be held virtually on June 15, 2023. According to Chambers, the awards recognize a law firm’s pre-eminence in key jurisdictions in the United States. They honor the work of national and international law firms across the region based on the research for the recent edition of the Chambers USA Guide.
