MoFo Named Recorder’s California Product Liability Department of the Year

12 Dec 2013

MoFo has been named The Recorder’s California Product Liability Department of the Year for 2013. The firm also was a finalist in the California Intellectual Property category and received an honorable mention in the overall California Litigation Department of the Year category.

One general counsel from a product liability client praised the firm’s communication style and client service, saying “‘We’ve seen all the hurdles show up in this case, and every time, [the MoFo lawyers] were able to explain what’s happening and help me and the senior management here take the best route both from a strategic and monetary perspective.’”

Of the firm’s IP practice, The Recorder wrote, “When clients hire MoFo, they tap into a nucleus of star power—all of whom work closely with the IP group’s patent counseling practice to get close to the technologies they’re fighting over.”

The Recorder considered wins secured by California practice groups between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013. In each of those cases, the results were evaluated based on the difficulty of the matter, the value to the client and the creativity of counsel. The breadth and depth of each practice was also taken into account.
