Chambers USA Names Three MoFo Lawyers Finalists for 2016 Diversity Awards

Three MoFo lawyers are finalists for the 2016 Chambers USA Diversity Awards.

Obrea Poindexter is a finalist for Minority Lawyer of the Year. Obrea co-chairs the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group, heads the Mobile Payments Group, and is co-chair of the FinTech Group. She also co-chairs our Diversity Strategy Committee.

New York associate Melissa Crespo is a finalist in the Future Leader – Gender Diversity category. A member of the firm’s Global Privacy & Data Security team, Melissa represents major corporations in high-profile data breaches. She also consistently undertakes pro bono and extracurricular projects that have successfully advanced the position of women in society.

Judy Mok, a financial services associate in our New York office, is a finalist in the Future Leader – Minority Lawyers category. Judy’s practice focuses on consumer and retail financial services. She also is a champion of diversity and inclusion, as illustrated by her role in establishing the firm’s New York Asian Women Affinity Group.

The Chambers USA Diversity Awards celebrate the achievements of lawyers from diverse backgrounds, shining a spotlight on individuals and firms that are affecting positive change within the legal profession.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in New York on June 16.
