MoFo Alumna Michelle Banks Named UCLA Law School Alumni of the Year

For her professional accomplishments and leadership, MoFo alumna Michelle Banks is one of the recipients of UCLA’s 2016 Alumni of the Year Awards. This year, Michelle was the honoree for Professional Achievement. The award for Professional Achievement celebrates distinguished career accomplishments and contributions made to the legal profession.

Michelle is one of the most “highly accomplished, forward-thinking and distinguished UCLA graduates,” said Jennifer L. Mnookin, deal of UCLA School of Law. “[She] serves as a stellar role model for our current students, our alumni, and the whole profession.”

Currently, Michelle is chair of the board of directors of Minority Corporate Counsel Association, a nonprofit focused on advancing diversity in law firms and corporations. She is also co-chair of UCLA Law Women Lead and serves as a Commissioner for the American Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession.
