MoFo Honored With 2015 Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing

Morrison & Foerster is among the 35 law firms that will be recognized with a Distinguished Legal Writing Award at the 2015 Burton Awards.

Palo Alto partner Chris Lyon and New York associate Melissa Crespo were recognized for their article, “Employer Access to Employee Social Media: Applicant Screening, ‘Friend’ Requests and Workplace Investigations (published in the Privacy and Security Law Report on March 11, 2014).

The Burton Awards, established in 1999, is funded by the Burton Foundation, a nonprofit, academic effort devoted to recognizing and rewarding excellence in the legal profession. The Burton Awards were established to honor outstanding accomplishments in law, such as writing, reform, public service and interest, regulatory innovation, and lifetime achievements in the profession.

The 16th annual Burton Awards will take place at the Library of Congress on June 15.
