MoFo Hosts Talk With Vice President of German Parliament

27 May 2014

Approximately 40 high-ranking individuals from the Berlin media community attended a breakfast talk on German and European media politics with Claudia Roth, vice president of Deutscher Bundestag. MoFo partner Christoph Wagner and Boris Wasmuth, founder and managing director of GameDuell, a cross platform for social games communities, moderated the discussion, held in MoFo’s Berlin office on May 27.

Organized by berlinbrandenburg, the business association of the creative industries in the German capital region, the breakfast talk covered such topics as copyright protection and anti-piracy, data protection and privacy, and the support of the media industry through politics.

Ms. Roth is one of the most prominent politicians of the German Green Party. From 1985 to 1987, she was the press spokesperson for the Greens in the Bundestag. She served as party co-chair from 2001 to 2001, and again from 2004 to 2013. In 2013, Ms. Roth became vice president of the Deutscher Bundestag. Before going into politics, she worked as an artistic director and music manager.
