MoFo Shortlisted for 2016 ALB Japan Law Awards

MoFo has been shortlisted for 14 awards at the 2016 Asian Legal Business Japan Law Awards. We are nominated for International Arbitration Law Firm of the Year; International Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year, International Deal Firm of the Year, and Litigation Law Firm of the Year. In addition, Ken Siegel is a finalist for Managing Partner of the Year.

Several transactions on which we advised have also been shortlisted for deal awards, including:

  • Hitachi and Johnson Controls Air-Conditioning’s joint venture (M&A Deal of the Year, TMT Deal of the Year);
  • Hulic’s acquisition of Simplex Investment Advisors (M&A Deal of the Year, Real Estate Deal of the Year);
  • LaSalle Logiport REIT’s IPO (Real Estate Deal of the Year); and
  • SoftBank’s additional investment in Supercell Oy (M&A Deal of the Year, TMT Deal of the Year)

In total, 32 awards will be presented to private practitioners and in-house legal teams that have had a significant impact on the region’s legal community. Winners will be announced June 14 at an awards ceremony in Tokyo.
