Morrison & Foerster is representing Chanel, Inc. in its acquisition of St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery, as detailed in this press release issued by the winery. St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery is a sustainably farmed, estate winery in Napa Valley, previously owned by the Skalli Family. This is the first foray into the U.S. wine industry for Chanel, which owns  two Bordeaux wineries.

The deal team is led by partner Robert Townsend, with support from partner David Strong on tax matters; partner William Sloan and of counsel Lloyd Aubry on environmental issues; partner Thomas Fileti and of counsel Tushna Gamadia on real estate matters; and from associates Mimi Butler, Darah Protas, Joseph Tucci, Amanda Hines Gold, and Dan Gershwin.
