Morrison & Foerster Advises BayWa on Sale of South Dakota Wind Farm

MoFo is advising BayWa r.e. Wind LLC on the sale of the recently constructed 80-megawatt Beethoven wind project located near Tripp, South Dakota, to NorthWestern Energy.

The $143 million sale of the facility by BayWa includes 43 turbines and the rights to a 50MW expansion site adjacent to the existing facility. The project was completed in May 2015.

MoFo partner Jeffrey Chester led the team on behalf of BayWa. The deal team also consisted of Los Angeles of counsel Elizabeth Sluder, associate Huilin Wang Cornell, and Washington, D.C. of counsel Zori Ferkin.
