Morrison & Foerster Advises on Largest Wireless Acquisition by Private Equity


A Washington D.C.-based team including Cheryl Tritt, W. Stephen Smith, Jeff Jaeckel and Jennifer Kostyu advised Alltel Corporation in connection with the regulatory aspects of Alltel's agreement to be acquired by TPG Capital and GS Capital Partners in a transaction valued at approximately $27.5 billion. The acquisition, at a per share premium of 23% over Alltel's closing share price prior to media reports of a potential transaction, will be the largest private equity acquisition in the wireless industry.
