At the 2013 Project Finance North America Awards, the privatization of Puerto Rico's Luis Munoz Airport was named the Transport Deal of the Year.

San Francisco partner Zane Gresham, Washington, D.C. project finance of counsel Rafael Hernandez Mayoral, and San Francisco environment and energy associate Jennifer Jeffers comprised the MoFo team that advised a consortium of major airlines in negotiating with the government of Puerto Rico and Aerostar and in securing FAA approval.

The editors noted that this was "one of the first significant, large-scale airport privatizations in the U.S., and its successful bond financing reaffirmed the market's appetite for airport credits."

Project Finance magazine has provided news on the oil and gas, power, renewables, transport, and PPP sectors for more than 25 years. The magazine has held annual awards for the past 12 years, honoring the top deals in each of those sectors.
