Three Morrison & Foerster Partners Win 2014 CLAY Awards

20 Feb 2014

California Lawyer magazine announced that MoFo partners Harold J. McElhinny, Michael Jacobs, and Rachel Krevans have been named 2014 California Lawyer Attorneys of the Year (CLAY) in the Intellectual Property category. All three lawyers are being honored for their work securing a landmark patent infringement verdict in 2012. Mr. McElhinny and Ms. Krevans are also being recognized for winning an additional $290 million in patent infringement damages in November 2013, which brings the total won for the client to $929.8 million.

For 18 years, California Lawyer magazine has bestowed the CLAY Awards to California lawyers whose achievements had a significant impact during the prior year, or whose work is expected to have such an effect in the coming years. The magazine receives hundreds of nominations and ultimately winnows the field to a small group of public- and private-sector lawyers whose work exemplifies excellence in the legal profession.

The awards will be presented by California Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye in March in San Francisco and Mr. McElhinny, Mr. Jacobs, and Ms. Krevans will be highlighted in the March issue of California Lawyer.
