Views Vary on Whether FBI Recording Policy Should Extend to White-Collar Investigations

James Koukios, former federal prosecutor and Special Counsel to the FBI Director, now a partner in the firm’s Securities Litigation, Enforcement & White-Collar Defense Practice Group, gave his opinion on proposed changes to the FBI’s policy of recording non-custodial witness interviews. Mr. Koukios noted practical challenges posed by recording such interviews in white-collar investigations.
