Creating an environment for actionable strategic discussions and executive-level professional development.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 26, 2013) – AlphaTech Group, Inc. has announced that it is launching an exclusive, CEO-level initiative that will serve Mid-Atlantic emerging growth companies in the cybersecurity, big data and analytics industries. AlphaTech is chartered with supporting and accelerating the growth of these companies through a variety of business-building opportunities, including industry-specific topic discussions with pioneers from the public and private sectors.
Each year in the fall, AlphaTech will invite CEOs to apply for participation in an eight-month-long series of events which will culminate in a unique capstone ceremony that will not soon be forgotten. Each group will include 15-25 CEOs from across the Mid-Atlantic. Selected CEOs will benefit from salient growth topic presentations, special access to all presenters and advisers, incredible networking with investors and potential business partners and inclusion in a private alumni network.
Unlike other programs that charge application and participation fees, AlphaTech does not charge CEOs to participate. AlphaTech is also laser-focused on cybersecurity, big data and analytics companies from both the commercial and government contracting sectors and tailors its programming accordingly.
“Cybersecurity, big data and analytics represent some of the fastest growing and most important industries across the globe,” said Greg Giammittorio, a partner at Morrison & Foerster and one of AlphaTech’s founders. “But these are still nascent industries that need active support from the business community to fully achieve the great potential for these companies and the region. That’s why we created AlphaTech, to provide that foundation and assist the region’s most dynamic executives and their companies to succeed.”
AlphaTech’s kick-off event will be held in late October and feature Dr. Prescott Winter, Managing Director, The Chertoff Group and former CIO and CTO, National Security Agency, as well as CTO for Public Sector Security within the Enterprise Security Unit at Hewlett Packard.
“We already have over a dozen companies who have joined AlphaTech, including Red Owl Analytics, TransVoyant and Haystax Technology. The entire board of advisers is excited to start working with these companies and identifying ways to really help their businesses reach the next level of growth,” said Tim Keenan, CEO of Keenan & Associate and former CEO and Chairman of High Performance Technologies, Inc.
For CEOs who are considering applying, AlphaTech is looking for the following:
