Kelly C. Crabb Joins Corporate Group in Los Angeles

Morrison & Foerster LLP announced that Kelly C. Crabb, a prominent corporate, financing and entertainment lawyer with numerous U.S. and international entertainment and media clients, has joined the firm from Dewey Ballantine in Los Angeles. Mr. Crabb joins as a partner in the firm's Los Angeles office.

"With Kelly and Dan McIntosh, who joined us in 1998, providing senior lawyer entertainment business and finance expertise, and our existing strong practices in new media, internet and other intellectual property areas, securities, M&A, litigation and tax, we are uniquely positioned to offer a full range of services to clients in the entertainment and media areas throughout the world." Mr. Babbe added, "We intend to continue to strengthen our capabilities for clients in these areas."

Mr. Crabb's entertainment and media practice includes a mix of sophisticated and complex financing, production and content work for substantial Japanese, U.S., Canadian and European companies. His areas of practice include, content rights; acquisition and licensing; motion picture, television and other programming production and financing; composer agreements, recording company corporate and joint venture matters; personal appearances; and motion picture distribution.

Mr. Crabb joined Dewey Ballantine in 1996. Earlier, he was a partner at Arnold & Porter in Los Angeles. Mr. Crabb received his law degree from Columbia University School of Law in 1984, where he was editor of the Columbia Law Review from 1982-1984. He received his Masters in Public Administration from Brigham Young University in 1973, and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young in 1971. Mr. Crabb, who is fluent in Japanese, is a frequent lecturer and the author of several published articles.

The Los Angeles office of Morrison & Foerster was opened in 1974 and currently has approximately 105 attorneys.
