NEW YORK (May 28, 2014) – Morrison & Foerster was presented with the only Client Service Award for Corporate M&A at the 2014 Chambers & Partners USA Awards. Chambers’ Client Service awards are based on client feedback and recognize law firms for superior client service qualities. Consistently singled out by clients during the course of the research, the firm was recognized particularly for quality and range of client service.
“We are truly honored to receive this award,” said Robert Townsend, co-chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Global M+A Practice Group. “Clients come first for everyone at MoFo. This award is tremendous affirmation that our continuing efforts to provide legendary client service are proving successful. We are incredibly proud that our valued clients have spoken so enthusiastically about the quality and effectiveness of the Corporate and M&A work we perform on their behalf.”
In awarding Morrison & Foerster this prestigious accolade, Chambers noted: “Morrison & Foerster has recently handled some phenomenally high value and sophisticated deals, including the closing of SoftBank's $21.6 billion acquisition of a 78 percent share of wireless operator Sprint. The team is experienced in a range of industry sectors and has an impressive global network. In the States, clients enjoy seamless service from groups in California, DC, New York, and Virginia.”
“This award symbolizes the client-driven culture that we maintain both in the firm’s Corporate Group and in MoFo as a whole,” said Brandon Parris, co-chair of the firm’s Global Corporate Department. “Being recognized by Chambers, and the clients they interviewed, is a testament to the tremendous effort and collaboration put forth by our corporate and M&A lawyers and staff across all of our 17 global offices during the last 12 months.”
For the past two years Morrison & Foerster has been named "M&A Group of the Year" by Law360 and "International M&A Law Firm of the Year" by M&A Advisor.
