Morrison & Foerster Advises BNP Paribas and China Merchant Securities in Optics Valley Union’s HK$830 Million IPO

HONG KONG (March 28, 2014) – Morrison & Foerster is representing BNP Paribas and China Merchant Securities in the HK$830 million IPO by Optics Valley Union Holding Company Limited, which listed today on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. BNP Paribas was the sole sponsor and, together with China Merchant Securities, acted as the joint global coordinators, joint bookrunners and joint lead managers for the IPO.

Optics Valley Union Holding Company Limited is a leading developer and operator of commercial business parks in China. It is currently developing and operating business park projects in three Chinese cities: Wuhan, Qingdao and Ezhou.

The deal team was led by Hong Kong corporate partners, Gregory Wang and Ven Tan. Morrison & Foerster was also involved in the first three IPOs of 2014 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, worth an aggregate of almost HK$1.32 billion.
