Andrew Boyd is an M&A partner based in the London office. He specializes in advising on strategic cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and joint venture transactions with particular expertise advising clients in the technology sector. Andrew regularly represents corporate and private equity houses, among other clients, Uber, Visa, SoftBank, Tate & Lyle plc, Unity Technologies, Toshiba, Coral Tree Partners and SoundCloud.

Advising Visa on multiple M&A and VC transactions including its acquisition of UK AI company Featurespace, its acquisition of a minority equity stake in fintech unicorn Interswitch and countless minority venture investments.

Advising Uber on multiple cross-border acquisitions, including its acquisition of UK technology company Autocab, Denmark’s Dantaxi and its strategic investment in Wayve Technologies Ltd, a leading developer of embodied AI technology for automated driving.

SoftBank

Advising SoftBank on multiple transactions including its $2.8bn acquisition of 40% of Norwegian robotics company AutoStore, its investments in Airtel Africa, Goggo Networks and its £24.3 billion takeover of chip designer ARM Holdings plc, the largest all cash-acquisition in UK public takeover history.

Advising Tate & Lyle plc on multiple transactions including its acquisition of leading global Stevia producer Sweet Green Fields and dietary protein manufacturer Quantum Hi-Tech.

Advising Unity Technologies on multiple cross border acquisitions, including DeltaDNA, Artomatix and the Multiplay division of Game Digital plc.

Toshiba

Advising Toshiba in its “dual track” disposal process of smart-meter leader Landis+Gyr . The transaction was completed through a $2.4bn initial public offering of Landis+Gyr’s shares on the SIX Swiss Exchange.

Advising ON Semiconductor Inc. on its acquisition of SensL Technologies, a specialist in SiPM, SPAD and LiDAR sensing products for automotive, medical, industrial and consumer markets.

Advising LIVEKINDLY Collective, one of the world’s largest plant-based food companies, on its acquisition of No Meat, Iceland Foods’ vegan meat alternative company.
