Andrew Boyd is an M&A partner based in the London office. He specializes in advising on strategic cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and joint venture transactions with particular expertise advising clients in the technology and food/ag sectors.

Andrew regularly represents, among other clients, Uber, Visa, SoftBank, Tate & Lyle plc, Unity Technologies, Toshiba and SoundCloud.

Advising Uber on multiple cross-border acquisitions, including its acquisition of UK technology company Autocab.

SoftBank

Advising SoftBank on multiple transactions including its $2.8bn acquisition of 40% of robotics company AutoStore, its investments in Airtel Africa, Goggo Networks and its £24.3 billion takeover of chip designer ARM Holdings plc, the largest all cash-acquisition in UK public takeover history.

Visa

Advising VISA on multiple M&A and venture capital transactions including its acquisition of a minority equity stake in fintech unicorn, Interswitch and investments in Bankable, Railsbank, Truelayer, GPS, Shieldpay, Fidel and Ecolytiq.

Tate & Lyle plc

Advised Tate & Lyle plc on multiple transactions including its acquisition of leading global Stevia producer Sweet Green Fields and dietary protein manufacturer Quantum Hi-Tech.

SoundCloud

Advising SoundCloud on multiple transactions including its $75m investment from Sirius XM.

Unity Technologies

Advising Unity Technologies on multiple cross border acquisitions, including DeltaDNA, Artomatix and the Multiplay division of Game Digital plc.

Toshiba

Representing Toshiba in its “dual track” disposal process of smart-meter leader Landis+Gyr . The transaction was completed through a $2.4bn initial public offering of Landis+Gyr’s shares on the SIX Swiss Exchange.

ON Semiconductor Inc.

Advising ON Semiconductor Inc. on its acquisition of SensL Technologies, a specialist in SiPM, SPAD and LiDAR sensing products for automotive, medical, industrial and consumer markets.

LIVEKINDLY Collective

Advising LIVEKINDLY Collective, one of the world’s largest plant-based food companies, on its acquisition of No Meat, Iceland Foods’ vegan meat alternative company.

Hassad Food

Advising Hassad Food on its acquisition of an equity stake in Sunrise Foods.
