David Asadi is a litigation associate based in London. He advises corporate clients on complex litigation, government investigations, and regulatory enforcement, with a focus on the technology and financial services sectors.
David helps clients navigate high-stakes disputes in which litigation, enforcement risk, potential criminal exposure, and public scrutiny unfold in parallel. He is particularly focused on tech-sector disputes, including domestic and cross-border matters where government and regulatory intervention can trigger overlapping investigations, enforcement action, follow-on civil claims, and reputational risk.
Before joining the Morrison Foerster, David spent three years as an enforcement lawyer at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC). At ASIC, he led investigations and civil penalty proceedings involving financial institutions, worked on matters involving potential criminal conduct, and advised on enforcement strategy, enforcement decisions, and the drafting of financial regulations. This regulator-side experience gives him practical insight into how enforcement agencies assess evidence, frame allegations, and make intervention decisions.
David is admitted in England and Wales and Victoria, Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Politics from Monash University.
