Jake Dean is a trial lawyer and commercial litigator who represents companies and executives in complex, high-stakes disputes in federal and state courts and in arbitration forums across major U.S. jurisdictions. His practice focuses on business-critical litigation, contract disputes, internal investigations, employment issues, and product matters, regularly defending several of the world’s largest companies in cases where strategic judgment and courtroom execution materially affect outcomes.

Jake regularly serves as first and second chair in trials and arbitrations and takes lead roles in depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. Over the course of his practice, he has taken and defended more than 200 depositions and examined more than 20 witnesses at trial and in arbitration. His experience includes representing clients in matters involving nine-figure exposure and securing favorable trial verdicts, arbitration awards, dispositive rulings, and early case resolutions.

Clients value Jake’s direct, practical approach and his ability to balance aggressive advocacy with sound business judgment. He works closely with in-house legal teams and business leaders to develop litigation strategies aligned with broader commercial objectives.

Jake earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law and his undergraduate degree from UCLA, where he was a two-year starter and was included on the Pacific-10 All-Bowl Team in 2009–2010.
