Safwan Akbar is an associate based in Morrison Foerster’s London office and is a member of the firm’s Corporate Group.

Safwan advises on a wide range of corporate matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions and general corporate advisory matters. He has experience advising clients across a number of industry sectors, including technology, media and entertainment. 

Safwan trained at Morrison Foerster, gaining experience in the following practice areas: Data, Cyber + Privacy/Technology Transactions, Litigation, and Corporate/M&A. During this time, Safwan also spent six months on secondment to a leading global audio streaming provider. 

Safwan is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales. Safwan is fluent in Urdu and speaks Hindi and Punjabi.
