Taylor Halby is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison Foerster’s San Diego office.

Taylor’s practice focuses on mass torts and consumer class actions in the product liability space. She represents clients in complex product liability matters in both federal and state court, with experience in medical devices, consumer products, and AI. Taylor also counsels clients on the product life cycle and represents them in data privacy, breach of contract, and other consumer claims. Taylor is often the go‑to person for in-depth knowledge of the facts of a particular case, working closely with the trial team and experts to analyze potential defenses, tee up dispositive motions, and develop trial strategy.

Before joining Morrison Foerster, Taylor served as a legal intern to the San Diego County Office of the Public Defender, where she assisted with trials, preliminary hearings, and motion hearings. She also drafted motions and liaised directly with clients.

Taylor received her J.D. summa cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and received pro bono recognition with high distinction. While in law school, she participated in several trial competitions and received numerous awards for her academic work.

Taylor received her B.S. magna cum laude in business administration (marketing) from San Diego State University.
