Stuart Alford is of counsel in the Corporate Department of Morrison & Foerster’s London office.

Mr. Alford's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity buyouts and general corporate matters. He has particular experience advising international clients on complex cross-border M&A transactions, including in regulated industries such as insurance and financial services.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster in 2017, Mr. Alford trained and practiced in the London and Hong Kong offices of an international law firm. During that appointment, he was seconded to a leading investment bank where he assisted with a range of transactions across Europe and the Middle East.

Mr. Alford received his M.A. (Hons.) degree in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews, and his law degree from the College of Law, London. He is qualified as a solicitor in England, Wales and Ireland.
