MoFo is a proud sponsor of Climate Week NYC 2021, taking place September 20th-26th, in conjunction with the United Nations and in partnership with the COP26 and the City of New York. Businesses, governments, academic institutions, arts organizations, individuals, and nonprofit organizations gather to participate in the week-long events program including panel discussions concerts, exhibitions, seminars, and more. This year, Climate Week will shift its focus to businesses, governments, and organizations plan to fulfill and increase commitments to net zero.
Suz Mac Cormac will moderate a panel in the Climate Week series “Fast Tracking Finance: The crucial role of investors and financers in the Climate Decade” on September 22, 2021. Her panel, “Can climate philanthropy, government and venture capital bridge the finance and action gap?” will focus specifically on how the finance and investment sectors can generate enough capital to support climate-aligned businesses and infrastructure and help the U.S. reach net zero by 2050.
This panel discussion will feature both public and private sector leaders who will speak to how the broader financial community can scale existing sustainable finance models in order to work toward a net zero global economy.
