You are invited to join us for a panel discussion featuring panelists from Base10 Partners and Fearless Fund as we discuss D&I in funds.When Base10 Partners announced the firm’s debut fund in 2018, the $137 million fundraise represented the largest debut to date for a black-led venture capital firm. Since that time, Base10 launched a $250 million second fund in 2020, and with it, announced a Diversity Pledge to increase the diversity of their team and portfolio. A $250 million growth-stage fund followed shortly thereafter in 2021, with the firm donating 50% of the fund's carried interest directly back to America's Historically Black Colleges & Universities. Fearless Fund, launched in 2018 as the first VC fund built by women of color for women of color, aims to bridge the gap in venture capital funding for women of color founders building scalable, growth aggressive companies. Since its founding, the Fearless Fund launched a fund to invest exclusively in early-stage businesses led by women of color.These are just a few examples of the investment funds community’s growing focus on diversity and inclusion. From investment decisions, to hiring protocol, funds are increasingly including D&I components as a focal point to their strategies. During our panel, we will dissect the strategies behind these funds, how the D&I component is incorporated, and what our guests believe the future holds for the industry as a whole. <hr>
