The Autoridade da Concorrência of (AdC) is hosting the 2021 edition of the International Cartel Network’s ICN Cartel Workshop in Lisbon, Portugal on November 17-19, 2021. At the ICN Cartel Workshop, ICN members and non-governmental advisors (NGAs) will discuss current topics related to cartels, including crisis cartels, detection and investigative tools, hub-and-spoke cases, cartels in labor markets, sustainability and cartels, along with algorithms and collusion.
Selected as the U.S. non-governmental advisor, Megan Gerking, partner in Morrison & Forester’s Global Antitrust Law Practice group, will moderate a session on “Fighting cartels together with private enforcement: current state of play and impact on leniency and public anti-cartel enforcement” at 3:15 P.M. GMT on Thursday, November 18. Her panel will discuss the limitations of private enforcement and how it brings the fight against cartels to public attention.
