MoFo partner Nathaniel (Nate) Mendell joined Informa Connect’s Pharmacuetical Compliance Conference (PCC), which gathers leading compliance, defense, and regulatory professionals who are focused on life sciences to discuss compliance best practices, regulatory benchmarking, and critical policy and regulatory updates affecting the industry. Alongside a panel of former prosecutors who are now in private practice and in-house compliance roles, Nate leveraged two decades of experience serving in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) on the “Former Prosecutor Spotlight” panel to provide insights on recent investigations and enforcement actions involving healthcare fraud, the False Claims Act, and violations of the anti-kickback statute, among other issues. Additionally, he discussed predictions on the trajectory of DOJ enforcement involving life sciences and also provided practical steps for companies to mitigate their risk.
