Robin Gimm is an associate in the San Diego office of Morrison Foerster and a member of the firm’s Emerging Companies + Venture Capital Group.Robin focuses on representing emerging growth companies throughout their life cycles from formation to exit in corporate and transactional matters, including venture capital financings, corporate formation and structuring, and corporate governance. In this capacity, she often serves in the role of outside general counsel to her company clients. Robin advises companies in a wide variety of industries and sectors, including life sciences and biotechnology, clean technology, SaaS, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.Robin also advises venture capital funds and other institutional investors on venture financings and other strategic investments and transactions. Robin received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a James Kent Scholar and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. While attending Columbia, she served as the treasurer for the Columbia Law Review and the caravan chair for the Society for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Robin earned her B.A., magna cum laude, in political science from Williams College.
