2025 HNBA/VIA Annual Convention

Carlos Uriarte, partner and co-chair of Morrison Foerster’s Congressional Investigations practice, will speak at the Hispanic National Bar Association/VIA Fund Annual Convention, taking place September 3–5, 2025, at the Gaylord Resort in Oxon Hill, MD. This premier three-day conference brings together leading practitioners, policymakers, and thought leaders for engaging CLE programs, interactive workshops, impactful plenary sessions, and exceptional networking opportunities.

On Friday, September 5, Carlos will participate in the panel “Advocacy to Impact: Public Interest Law Career Insights.” The discussion will highlight the many pathways available within public interest law, with a particular emphasis on bridging roles across government, nonprofit, and private practice. Panelists will share practical advice for attorneys seeking careers that drive meaningful change, as well as explore key considerations such as ethical obligations, the challenges of transitioning between sectors, and the critical role of legal professionals in promoting social justice and systemic reform.
