On December 3, 2025, Crescent Chasteen co-delivered a guest presentation at the MIT Sloan School of Management as part of its Startups and the Law course. Her session, titled “Equity Compensation Considerations for Start-Up Companies,” provided an overview of best practices for structuring equity incentives for early-stage companies, including cap table planning, stock option and RSU mechanics, and key tax considerations such as Section 83(b) elections.
Crescent also discussed common challenges in early-stage compensation design and offered practical guidance for MBA candidates and emerging founders on building equity programs that support long-term company growth and align with market norms.
