MoFo is proud to have participated in a webinar focused on Building a Solidarity Economy through Alternative Corporate Structures presented by Confluence Philanthropy, a private membership-based network of foundations, family offices, and their investment advisors. The webinar gives participants the chance to join an in-depth discussion of how alternative corporate structures can serve as building blocks for economic solidarity.
With the deepening democracy crisis in the U.S., the need for progressive power-building has never been greater. How do we protect our movements, our organizations, and most importantly, those at the frontlines of this work?
This webinar examines how alternative or multi-entity models protect organizations in times of political upheaval, redistribute power, and foster community resilience. Through real-world examples, practical guidance, and discussions with practitioners, we explored what it looks like to reimagine organizational structures in ways that strengthen our responses to the erosion of democracy.
Speakers:
- Farhad Ebrahimi, Philanthropic Transformation Strategist, Solidaire Action
- Benjamin Fox, Partner, Morrison Foerster
- Prentiss Haney, Co-Founder and Director, Movement Politics Accelerator
- Lourdes Rodriguez, CEO, David Rockefeller Fund (Moderator)
