Training Session: AI in HR
New Jersey Industry Liaison Group (NJILG)
New Jersey Industry Liaison Group (NJILG)
Morrison Foerster partner Andrew Turnbull will conduct a training session for the New Jersey Industry Liaison Group (NJILG) on Friday, June 5, on the use of artificial intelligence in human resources.
NJILG is part of a network of industry liaison groups that historically focused on OFCCP and affirmative action compliance and now serve as broader HR and EEO forums for employers.
As organizations increasingly deploy AI tools across the employee lifecycle, regulators and plaintiffs’ attorneys are paying close attention. This program will explore how AI is actually being used in HR today, why enforcement scrutiny is accelerating, and how traditional employment laws are being applied in this new context.
Andrew’s session will provide practical guidance on navigating risk while continuing to leverage AI responsibly. The discussion will cover the evolving regulatory landscape governing AI in employment, real-world cases illustrating how employment claims can arise from AI-driven decision-making, and concrete compliance strategies employers can implement to stay ahead of regulatory and litigation risk.
