Kathryn Thornton to Speak at International Wine Law Conference on Geographical Indications

Kathryn Thornton will be a panelist at the International Wine Law Conference on the protection of geographical indications (GIs) in countries that do not formally recognize them. The panel will explore how GIs are protected in the United States, strategies for protecting them in jurisdictions without dedicated GI regimes, and the growing intersection of GI protection, politics, and international trade.

The International Wine Law Association (AIDV-IWLA) brings together more than 300 members across 30 countries to study global wine law and promote greater international understanding and harmonization.
