Open Call for Pitch Decks
We’re excited to announce that Morrison Foerster’s (MoFo) Fall 2026 Pitch Day will return as an official event of Austin Tech Week on October 28, 2026, at Capital Factory.
Hosted by MoFo, this signature event gives a select group of high-growth technology companies the opportunity to pitch before a panel of leading venture capital investors while gaining valuable exposure during one of the year’s premier gatherings for the startup community. As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the innovation ecosystem, we’re proud to provide founders with a platform to showcase their companies and build connections with the entrepreneurs, investors, and technology leaders who make Austin Tech Week such a dynamic event.
Following the competition, all attendees are invited to MoFo’s post-Pitch Day happy hour to continue the conversation over light bites and beverages and to network with fellow Austin Tech Week participants.
Prior to Pitch Day, MoFo will provide coaching sessions for finalists to fine-tune their pitch delivery, enhance their presentation materials, and prepare to present with confidence before the investor panel.
To submit your pitch deck for consideration, please send a non-confidential deck (20 MB max., PDF preferred) and any relevant questions to PitchDayAustin@mofo.com by Friday, August 28, 2026.

Participant Criteria and Guidelines
We are looking for technology, AI, defense tech, and life sciences companies that are actively seeking seed or later financing rounds. You do not have to be a MoFo client to participate, and there is no fee if selected. Additionally, no prizes are awarded. Our main goal is to be a resource to the startup ecosystem and provide the opportunity for Texas-based startups to connect with investors.
Pitch Deck Guidelines
Please submit a non-confidential pitch deck (20 MB max., PDF preferred). Note that while these presentations are not subject to confidentiality agreements, they will not be shared with anyone outside of potential investors and organizers.
We recommend that you use the following outline for your pitch deck:
- Problem – What unmet need does your company address?
- Solution – How does your company’s product/service fill this unmet need?
- Market Potential – Target market, market segments, and potential market size/growth rate
- Management Team – Senior management and quick overview of relevant experience
- Go-to-Market Strategy – How you will go to market (i.e., direct sales, channels, OEM, or other ways of reaching targeted customers)?
- Competition – Current or potential competitors and competitive outlook/dynamics of the relevant market
- Financial Projections – Five-year forecast, including revenue and EBITDA
- Funds Requested and Use of Proceeds – How much is your company raising, and how will funds be allocated?
Keep in mind that if your company is selected, you will have about four to seven minutes to present, with an additional two to three minutes set aside for investors to ask questions and provide feedback.
