They explain how the World Resources Institute’s Greenhouse Gas Protocol, which is globally recognized standard in reporting carbon emissions, is proposing its first major update in over a decade by targeting Scope 2 emissions.
Some of the proposed changes outlined throughout the article involve imploring stricter physical matching which would lead to companies ensuring their clean energy purchases align both temporally and geographically with their consumption.
