Finding Your Footing: The First Steps into MoFo Life

I joined MoFo after completing a one-year clerkship immediately after law school. I was anxious to quickly find my footing, not only because a global firm was a significant adjustment from the intimate environment of my clerkship, but also because the colleagues with whom I was a summer associate were now rising second-year associates with a wealth of experience and knowledge. Although my clerkship was formative, I worried that I was a step behind. I sought a tangible understanding of the firm’s expectations—day-to-day and long-term—and the actionable steps to becoming a contributing member of the MoFo team.
