SPACs See Asia as Next Hunting Ground for Takeover Targets

Mitchell Presser spoke to Bloomberg for an article discussing how funds and financiers in Asia are leveraging their deal-sourcing capabilities and understanding of U.S. capital markets to jump on the blank-check company bandwagon with special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs).

"If 2020 was the year of the SPAC, 2021 is the year of the de-SPAC," Mitchell said. "A lot of these SPACs will be looking at Asia for de-SPACing opportunities."
