Morrison & Foerster has received a record number of ten nominations as part of the 2021 Asian Legal Business (ALB) Hong Kong Law Awards.Hong Kong partner and global chair of the Private Equity Group Marcia Ellis has once again been shortlisted for Woman Lawyer of the Year and Dealmaker of the Year. This is the fourth time in a row that Marcia has been nominated for Dealmaker of the Year, an honor that she won in 2018.Under the firm categories, MoFo has been nominated for four Firm of the Year awards, including:<ul><li>Deal Firm of the Year</li><li>Healthcare and Life Sciences Law Firm of the Year</li><li> Investment Funds Law Firm of the Year</li><li>Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law Firm of the Year</li></ul>In addition, three significant matters led by our Hong Kong PE/M&A team have been shortlisted as M&A Deal of the Year, including (i) Grab’s business combination with Altimeter Growth, (ii) Greenland Hong Kong’s acquisition of Guangzhou Greenland, and (iii) SoftBank’s sale of Arm to NVIDIA. We are also shortlisted for Finance Deal of the Year for our involvement in the financing of Ping An’s acquisition of Shionogi.The ALB Hong Kong Law Awards pay tribute to the outstanding performance of private practitioners and in-house teams in Hong Kong and around the region.
