Morrison & Foerster's expansion into Texas with an office opening in Austin was featured in Texas Lawyer.
"When you think of Austin, it is a huge hub for technology and life sciences companies and only growing," Larren Nashelsky said. "It is a natural fit for us."
He added that a number of the firm's clients have either moved to Texas or moved operations to the state, which supports MoFo's decision to launch in Austin.
"When we think about our market-leading position in those areas, and our deep roots in the Silicon Valley, it positions us for success in the Silicon Hills," Larren said.
Bradley Wine, Global Co-Chair of MoFo's Litigation Department, relocated to Austin to serve as the office managing partner. The Austin office also launched with several lateral partner hires, including intellectual property litigation partners Brian C. Nash and Aaron G. Fountain, as well as corporate and emerging companies + venture capital partner Steve Tyndall.
