Schneider, the director of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) San Francisco regional office since May 2019, leaving her post at the end of the month.Jina, who was Schneider’s predecessor as director of the San Francisco SEC regional office, said Schneider is an excellent lawyer.“I really valued her perspective on enforcement and enforcement risk, protecting investors while being fair,” Jina said.Monique C. Winkler, the office’s associate regional director for enforcement, is expected to step into the role on an active basis.Jina added that Winkler was a fine choice as acting head of the office. “She has a diverse background in different types of cases.
