Morrison Foerster Ranked #6 on The American Lawyer’s 2022 Diversity Scorecard

The American Lawyer (ALM) has ranked Morrison Foerster #6 on its 2022 Diversity Scorecard. This is the 12th year in a row that MoFo has earned a top 10 spot and represents our best ranking since 2008.

ALM changed its Diversity Scorecard methodology this year to better reflect the legal industry, including changes to the scoring so that zero representation of certain minority groups impacts a firm’s score and the addition of questions about the diversity of a firm’s executive committee, office leaders, and practice heads. This year’s changes capture not only the numbers but also how well firms are making changes to set diverse attorneys up for long-term success. Each firm’s Diversity Score is calculated by adding together three scores created by rankings of a series of racial and ethnic diversity metrics (categories: Firm Leadership, Equity Partners, and Other Attorneys) and then dividing the total by the number of metrics applicable for each firm.
