MoFo Earns WILEF 2022 Gold Standard Certification

On July 26, 2022, the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) announced that Morrison Foerster is among the 32 U.S. firms awarded Gold Standard Certification. This status is granted to major firms that meet objective benchmarks pertaining to the number of women among equity partners and firm leadership, and in the ranks of their most highly compensated partners.

MoFo is one of only six firms that have been awarded Gold Standard Certification every year since the WILEF award program started in 2011.

To meet the U.S. Gold Standard, firms must satisfy both of the following two mandatory criteria:

• 25% minimum of women equity partners or, alternatively, at least 40% of all attorneys promoted to equity partnerships over the last 12 months must be women
• 10% of women equity partners are women of color, or 4% of women equity partners are LGBTQ

Firms must also meet at least two of the following four criteria:

• 20% of firm and U.S. branch office heads are women 
• 25% of the firm’s primary governance committee are women
• 25% of the firm’s compensation committee or its equivalent are women
• 20% of the top half of the firm’s equity partners in terms of compensation are women

MoFo is one of the 19 Gold Standard Certified firms to meet all six criteria in 2022.
