Lisa Phelan spoke to Law360 about a guilty plea secured by the U.S. Department of Justice in its first criminal monopolization case.
“The presumption was that perhaps they were looking at a very large company that was dominating a critical market with unusual and aggressive behavior,” said Lisa, a former chief of the Antitrust Division’s National Criminal Enforcement Section. “The case they brought . . . was none of those things.”
