Boston’s U.S. Attorney Has Had a Rough Start and It May Get Worse

Nate Mendell spoke to Law360 about the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, Rachael Rollins, and reports of low morale, lack of veteran prosecutors, and plummeting indictment numbers that have dominated the first year of her leadership. 

“Productivity is a function of internal process and morale,” said Nate. He said the “huge numbers” of indictments returned under his and [Andrew] Lelling’s former leadership of the U.S. Attorney’s Office occurred as they streamlined management to make sure cases moved as quickly as possible.
